E-blasts are published on Mondays for the week, Fridays for the weekend. Try to get your flyers in at least 4-6 weeks ahead of your event date.

Here's how to get your stuff posted on GoRiverton...

Edit and proofread your flyer. Please double check for spelling and grammer errors. Make sure all the information is correct, and that there is contact information included for public...or add QR code that will direct towards a page with all the information (check the code before publishing to make sure it works).
Email your flyer as a JPEG or PNG to: goriverton@gmail.com.
If you don't have a flyer, use the format below to submit your information:

TITLE OF EVENT - DAY, DATE, TIME. A BRIEF description of your event. LOCATION of the event (physical address or event venue). CONTACT information (phone, email, website, Facebook page, etc.)

This information will be posted in Announcements & Briefs on the FYI page

Tips for creating your flyer...

Use Canva or other publishing software to create your flyer. Select the "Flyer (8x12)" size. (There is also a "Poster 18x24" size as well.)

Use photos/graphics that won't detract from your messaging. Make sure to use fonts that are readable and not too small. Make sure to review before publishing!

Make it look clean, not cluttered. Try not to crowd too much information on one page. It is best to put the announcement and main information on your flyer, and then lead the public to a (short) URL/link that directs them to your website or Facebook page so you can provide updates (in case the event is cancelled or postponed).

If you're directing the public to your website, make sure the site is current and continually updated! Make sure all links work and point to where you want your audience to go.

If you don't have a website or Facebook page....

A blog post with your information and flyer will be published on GoRiverton's "FYI..." page.
